The Entrepreneurship Cell of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune has one of the biggest hackathon events ever organised by any IIIT ongoing. “Hackathon 2k21 – Let’s Hack the Future”, powered by the leading payment gateway in India, Juspay Technologies, in association with Algo University, started accepting registrations on DevFolio on the 8th of this June. Obviously, the participants have been on par with the excitement levels of the event organizing committee because Hackathon 2k21 has received 500+ registrations in just three days.
The event will stop accepting registrations after 17 June 2021. Hackathon 2k21 allows participants to register for free and is open to anyone enrolled in a UG/PG course globally. The event will take place in two rounds. The first round commences on 18 June 2021 in which participants will be submitting a solution approach for the real-world problem statement assigned to them. The portal for Round 1 submission closes on 20 June 2021. After a meticulous assessment of the submissions by the judges, the results of Round 1 will be declared on 23 June 2021, revealing the teams entering Round 2 – the final stand-off.
Hackathon 2k21 also comes up with super-fun side events as a sidekick to the event to raise the bar for enthusiasm levels. Events like Googol Flex, Area 51, Treasure Hunt and Round Table Conference, with zero registration fee and exciting cash prizes, will be conducted.
E-Cell IIIT Pune had more in store to compensate for one whole year lost to the lockdown. The committee collaborated with distinguished organizations and individuals to boost the morale of participants. Finally, enter Round 2 – a nearly sleepless 50 hours coding sprint that begins at 1100 hours IST on 25 June 2021. It will finally set the event in motion. The event comes forth with three themes – Android App Development, Full Stack Web Development and Front-end Web Development. The top coders will put their heart and soul into these 50 hours to build top-notch software solutions to an existing problem. This is their chance to transform the world.
The event presents a jaw-dropping cash prize worth INR 1,00,000 with goodies worth more than INR 2,00,000 and partner cash prizes worth more than INR 1,00,000 on top of this. This is a benchmark among the newly established IIITs. Hackathon 2k21 is a window of opportunity for young minds to unleash their potential in software development and change the definition of user experience. This is their chance at hacking the future and building a better tomorrow for users around the world. The final results declared on 27 June 2021 will mark the end of the Hackathon 2k21 journey.
The students at E-Cell have always desired to bolster up the entrepreneurial spirits among the youth. With this cause, E-Cell IIIT Pune witnessed its inception in December 2020 with a dynamic tagline – “Think. Innovate. Sell. Prosper.” Since then the students at E-Cell IIIT Pune have been laboriously working to be a platform for the rising entrepreneurs and be their chance to test their skills and capabilities. E-Cell IIIT Pune has already been triumphant in its past two events – “Ideathon 2k21” & “The Silk Route Quiz” – even in the virtual mode with a footfall of nearly 500 participants from over 150 colleges across the country. With 500+ registrations already, the E-Cell is expecting an even more encapturing success for Hackathon 2k21.
E-Cell IIIT Pune is on the mark to reach the finish line for Hackathon 2k21 with brilliant success. It will not stop till it leaves a lasting impression.
