Unlike the colours of the last three years, this year’s Pantone colour is quite a vibrant one. It is a mix of both warm as well as a cool shade having hints of red and blue. Viva Magenta radiates vim and vigour giving us the strength to take a huge plunge towards our respective goals fearlessly.
Pantone Viva Magenta seeks to invoke the forces of nature within us. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute said, “in this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real. PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta descends from the red family, and is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known.”
Viva Magenta also galvanizes our spirit, looks to empower us, encourages self-expression without restraint, and helps us to build our inner strength. This shade of 2023 has brought in a fresh wave of fashion. Celebrities, designers and brands are experimenting the colour in their unique ways.
